Good ride from Branford to Westbrook

GOOD.RIDE FROM BRANFORD TO WESTBROOK June 2026  Heather and Chris. Heather Lynn  Tim Bye Tim! Safe travels! He's going west, us east. Good ride  Not much wind. This sailboat has a sail up but it's quite loose, not moving much. At 12:10, Captain slows down.  Me : Where are we? Scott : Duck Island, do you see it over there? No At 12:30 ok now I see. We spend the afternoon there.  We go in, the water is about 65°F. Those sail boats find some wind somehow. We saw some crazy jet skiers, we heard a siren, thought the police were coming for them, nope they were coming rescuing a boat on fire.  I thought we were getting hit by a airplane in some point. Another than that we had a peaceful time. We have pizza for dinner.  We walk to the beach and just like that our vacation is over.

Fireworks in Branford

  FIREWORKS IN BRANFORD June 28, 2026 We started the day with a long walk to The Tasty Yolk for breakfast. Scott had a Tasty breakfast sandwich and I had a loaded potatoe bowl and it was delicious. The location and setup is not that great but customers are coming early because the food is that good.  Then we went grocery shopping at Caron's corner. It rains quite a bit today and so what, we're not made of chocolate.   Life is good.  Tim makes the  trip from the Housatonic River.  Jim and Mel come for a visit. Scott decides to go for a dinghy ride and visit Heather and Chris. "Come on Immer" "Ok daddy" Nooooo Immer : Well I guess I have  no choice. Dad : nope I see the same complicity than 17 years ago 😍    Chatting away Live band right at our dock. Weird pic of me dancing 😀.  Payton and Dan make it right on time for the sunset after this grey day. And here they are. Good night!

  BRANFORD, JUNE 27, 2026 Bruce & Johnson Marina The morning was rainy then it cleared out and we walked to the liquor store and the fish market for water. Exercise done. Beef nachos for lunch, a first and a keeper. I cooked beef with string beans and match sticks carrotsat home last Saturday. I used half of it for taquitos then added chili powder and cumin and brought it on the boat. Then I made nachos with Rotel tomatoes and cheddar. Yum! No Immer! Don't ask your dad Sunset watching after the puggy went to his quater. A selfie for mom.

Smooth ride from Pilot Point to Branford

  SMOOTH RIDE FROM PILOT POINT TO BRANFORD June 25, 2026 We leave our slip at 7:52. Here's a boat like us. They made some improvements we'd like to talk to them about.  Captain decides to pass North side of Duck Island. There's a lot of rocks around here, we have to be careful.  Bye bye Westbrook, see you next time. So smooth We enter Branford River at 8:50. Look at that castle. We're at the marina at 9:06 We had lunch at Guacamole's with Tom. Tom and I enjoyed our fish tacos. The fish is mahi-mahi and it's so juicy and succulent.  Scott enjoyed his beef quesadilla and his peach margaritas.... well he said it was not strong enough. We had dinner at the restaurant here at the marina with Ron and Linda.  I forgot to take pictures. I enjoyed my Cesar salad with broiled salmon very much and Scott his chicken parm. We went for a boat ride on the river with Ron.  He appreciated to see Branford, where he works, from the river. Here's better pictures of the castle....
