Our last day in Block Island
OUR LAST DAY IN BLOCK ISLAND July 23, 2026 Scott takes his usual walk with Immer at the BIMi. We put the puggy down and walk to Champlin's. This is our favorite view of the mainland and the pond. I'm texting with my brother in St-Pierre et Miquelon and sending a selfie. It looks like we are on a fishing boat but we are on a dock. That's the path between Boat Basin and Champlin's. We call it Toolman's way because our friend John (RIP) showed it to Scott back on our first trip here. We walk to Ballard's for a drink or two and lunch. We didn't get the mega chocolate and minth mudslide with Bailey's and Irish cream in it for 60$, but it does look decadent. We have patron margaritas and it was delicious. I have poke bowl with ahi tuna and Scott a burger. Scott gets a t-shirt at Block Star. Then we go grocery shopping for beer and coffee. We didn't get caught in the rain but in the heat.
