Grand boat

 Scott woke me up at 5 "Do you want to go to the beach?" Me "nope"  He went to Scotch Beach by dinghy, swam and walked to Ballard's... wow I slept till 8.  For my defense I was up from 3 to 4 and was ready to play cards 😆 but then I went back to sleep and Scott didn't. He found a new breakfast place we might try later. At 9 we go to the Farmer's Market and buy blueberries, lettuce and bread.  I go back after breakfast for 2 ears of corn. At 11 I made myself a chicken sandwich and Scott a peanut butter and blueberries wrap and we head to coast guard beach. Again Scott watches the boats, today some  fishing boats are arriving for the Tristate tournament.  We had our last servings of pulled chicken for dinner and went to Champlin's for a drink and see the sunset.  Everybody was watching in awe. Everybody 

  Left over French toasts with blueberries, yogurt and maple syrup for breakfast. I'm happy I saved my stale  bread and use it in such a delicious way.  We went to Coast Guard Beach all morning. Scott watches the boats go by and I watch kids fishing and birds.   They're doing a good job but had no luck, the fishes did 😀.  We go to the boat for lunch then go back to meet Debra Baker and her husband.  Scott talked to her  3 years ago on that beach and we are friends on Facebook since then.  Her and her husband have a sailboat in a yatch club in Port Jefferson.  We've been missing them the past 2 years so today it is happening.  3 years ago John and I were not talkative but today was another story and the conversation was fluent all afternoon. They told a funny story about a French guy that looks like Jacques Cousteau.  He got tangled with their anchor line, in the middle of the night and dove to fix the mess. Here we are.  ...

  Dinghy ride It would have been foggy this morning too. We're going to dinghy beach. . Then walk across corn neck road and go to Scotch Beach.  Scott cannot wait any longer to go in. Oh boy! Where is he? Whew! Love that picture! I didn't go in then regretted it but I think those waves would have knock me down. Then I put my flag up for my quebecer visitors We met them at the ferry. Then had lunch with a sangria  on the boat. Here's my friend Liette and her husband Alain. We gave them a tour of the Island. Northern Light first  Then the Southeastern one Seen on Facebook later, a floating glass had been found there a few hours before we were there. Mohegan bluffs  And a good meal at the Oar. Oh! and a sunset walk to Champlin's with its collection of yatchs It is busier than last year but not as much as it was with the previous owner. What a beautiful and full day we had!  We left Deep River at 6:45 am, the parking lot was flooded. We were supposed to leave Sunday and go to Pointe Judith first but decided to wait and let the river clear out the big debris from Vermont's devastating flooding.  Last Wednesday some docks with fingers and boats still attached were floating down the Connecticut River. So today Tuesday,  we are going directly to Block Island. The marina is foggy but we think that it's gonna lift by the time we get to Long Island Sound...well it got worse when we got out of the no wake zone. It got better and promising approaching Essex Here's a selfie and report for my mom I'm not good at selfies, I'm camera shy, Scott is even more and didn't want to be in it 😀  Here comes the sun. The classic light house, the sun makes it bright, thanks 😊  Toodootoodootoodooo  is it a shark? Nope it's a tree limb.  I wonder where are the docks with boats attached. Bye-bye sun not welcome fog. Should we use that... captain ...
