Clam beach, Block Island July 6, 2022

Clam beach, Block Island,  July 6 2022

Today we started with breakfast at Payne's again, we really like their egg sandwich. Tim came with us, then he took a taxi to the ferry and we went to the Farmer's Market.

Yesterday at Clubsoda we met Tim's friend Bill.  We met him again on our way back from the Market and on his way back from The Oar after he got his claming permit.  We said we would meet at the claming area.

We didn't see them but we walked the beach, which is next of dinghy Beach, to the entry of Great Salt Pond across Coast Guard Beach.  It has no name, i'm calling it clam beach. There were few people claming.  We met a paddle boarder who was wondering if we walked from the road, Scott saw the model of our next dinghy and some people offered us water and again on our way back then they offered alcohol of our choice.

The water is so clear it almost looks like I'm walking on terrazzo.

Then we "swam", it is very shallow though.

Today we are starting to feel that our vacation is coming to an end and we are just soaking up the moment and the landscape.

Hello!

Sorry we have nothing for you.

Thank you people of Block Island for preserving the wet lands for the wild life.

Mel taught me how to make videos on Tiktok, when I was on "Clam beach" I had a song in my head, click below to see :

After a shower, a little rest and a light supper we walked to Champlin's.

There's often an egret fishing between the two marinas.

Then a dinghy ride for the sunset. Some boaters like to celebrate the end of the day by blowing their horn.
