A wonderdul ride from Mystic to Deep River

Image
"Mommy give me a lap" How about 2 laps?...snore (that means: oh yeah!) We left Mystic Safe Harbor Marina a 6:15. That's why we love morning rides. So calm Little fog but we see well. Little ripple 8:14 we reach our home port, Deep River. It took 2 hours.  That might be our record.

A privileged Monday in Napatree

Our usual morning walk on the beach Our boy doesn't like the water.  He went in by himself today.  How about that! That tree was observed by humans and dogs alike.  Look at it, it so interesting at every angle. Scott and Immer went for a swim. Scott went to get lunch at Olympia Tea Room and ice.  Immer was worried about him and happy to see him coming back.  See Scott in the dinghy in the background.  Scott had bolognese pasta and I Portuguese baked haddock.  We both enjoyed our meals very much Then we took a nap then swam around the boat, no jelly fish this year. I practiced climbing on the dinghy from the water.  It took a few attempts but I got it.  You never know I could have to use that skills some day. We left for Mystic at 4:40, a lot of people left earlier because most of us have to work tomorrow.  We do too but my boss allows me to be late and Scott works at night. Bye Napatree, we don't want to leave but we have to keep working to afford these wonderful summers we hav

Gorgeous day in Napatree

Our puggy was hungry at 6, you cannot take a vacation from that 😀  Wé love mornings in Napatree. That's alright, he keeps us going and moving. Here's another shot of that tree hole.  Breakfast was vegan eggs with string beans, cheddar and bacon.  We almost had a vegan meal 😆. No kidding Justegg is great for the boat. We went for a walk toward the sea from inside the bay for the first time.  We saw a salt pond there.  We are still discovering places. We're so enjoying this beautiful day. The day boaters arrived in mass. Look on the right there's boats as far as you can see. Look on the left... same thing. And then off course a lot of people on the other side of the dune.   A little swim and a little rest then back on the boat with our boy.  Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 8 and 6. Day boaters are gone. Only the nighters can enjoy this. We are quite in great numbers. Let's have another look at the spectacle  . Good night! Thank God for this beautiful day!

Bumpy ride to Napatree

Our puggy is waiting patiently for mommy's lap.  He loves mommy and daddy but the boat...not so much.  Ha had a frenzy episode of scratching the seat when he was alone in the boat for a few minutes while we were loading the dinghy on the boat. There you have it buddy. See boating is not so bad after all 😀  Then it got quite bad. There was a rip currents caused by the hurricane Idalia in Florida. You can't tell on the picture but it was bumpy.  It was a little quieter so I managed to take that picture of a leaning sailboat but before and after it was like being in the race and just impossible to use my phone. A submarine which is pretty usual around New London. My captain is seriously handling the boat after working all night.  I don't know how he does it.  He really wants a good spot anchoring in Napatree.   We expect a crowded space on this gorgeous labor day weekend.  Entering the Napatree passage it got nice and calm and a big boat was paving the way for us. It felt so
