What a first day of vacation!
WHAT A FIRST DAY OF VACATION!
June 21 2025, Branford
We're leaving Deep River at 6:50. It is a perfect day. Sunny and calm, the way we love them. Our puggy is with us. He's been without a lap for 15minutes while launching. He's so happy now.
Two laps is better than one though 😀.
All is perfect until it's not.
Less than an hour later we're almost motionless, drifting a little out and north.
The serpentin belt fell off again. Well we are on vacation therefore relax and that's how we are handling it. We'll get towed to our destination and take care of it there. I'm actually impressed with the coolness of Scott.
Forty five minutes later.
Captain Bill comes to the rescue from Old Saybrook, the Central Connecticut SeaTow franchise.
It's still a perfect day and a perfect ride. We are cruising to Branford at a Nordic Tug speed (our dream) and hopefully Grand Boat will be fixed for good by Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Safe Harbor Bruce and Johnson Marina is not a bad place for vacationing.
An hour later Captain Surin comes from Branford and takes us over.
Around noon we are entering the Branford River and it's busy. The Captain puts us by his side for getting us into our slip soon. As he is doing it a big boat waked us out... not cool. Come on people be considerate of people around you.
Here's Priority (Mike and Sue).
Family visitors ❤️
The conversation is flowing.
Awww!!!
Life is good.
