6:20 am
Just like that, we're gone. Captain launch the boat without the first mate. I was brushing my teeth when I hear the engine and before I'm done, we're gone. Being at the gas dock has its advantages.
We have a ride of a little bit of everything.
First a little ripple.
A little chop.
Captain slows down to give a break to his precious cargo.
A little rain
At 8:40 we contour Duck Island and head to Pilot Point Marina. The plan is getting gas first.
But there's a 50 F catamaran and a big fishing boat. We turn around, it's narrow and low tide.
When the "cat" leaves we dock, drop the dinghy, get gas and our assignment.
We have a two finger slip, how great is that?
We're almost half way to Block Island.
Our ride took 2h.20 m., we were going slow for a while.
Ed's place have a stand with breakfast sandwiches at the marina. It is a welcome and satisfying meal before a nice nap.
Jim and Mel come for a visit and we go to the restaurant on the Marina's premises, "Bacari Social" and we enjoy a delicious cocktail before Craig arrive. Shame on me I didn't take any picture. And everyone were dressed up.
We had a nice second day of vacation!
