Exciting first day of a two weeks vacation


EXCITING FIRST DAY OF A TWO WEEKS VACATION 

July 12, 2026


We're leaving Deep River at 6, following our plan. 


We love morning rides.


Captain is excited 


The puggy not so much.  He turned his back on daddy when putting his life jacket on šŸ˜† 


Me, I'm groggy but happy.

We arrive at the mouth of Mystic River at 7:50

Karaoke at Harp and  Hound. 
Tim sings 'Thorn in my pride".


Tim signs up for a duet with his sister without her consent. She was shy but she did good.

Fun time!

We sleeps like rocks. The plan is getting up at 5:30 for a calm ride before the wind picks up.

  A BLESSED DAY IN P.J.! Port Jefferson by ferry August 24, 2025 Today is the big day we have been waiting for all week. We are going  sailing on our friends' boat "Lively up".  Scott is so excited. 7:45 we are at Bridgeport Ferry Terminal, waiting for the ferry to arrive. Here it comes. Here's  the captain backing up the ship. Scott tells me that's where we were supposed to come for the Counting Crows concert.  At 9:11 we starting to see the Port Jeff landmark. The two towers. Here's a higher perspective of Conscience Bay where we were on Fourth of July.  That could be us... so little.... actually we are even littler. "Lively Up" is somewhere in there. That's where we land when we come with the digny from Conscience Bay.  When we arrived at 9:45, John and Debra are at the terminal, waiting for us. We're having brunch at  Joey Z's, it's delicious and the service is excellent. Scott really enjoys his chicken  parm with lemon pepper pot...

Back to reality

  BACK TO REALITY  From Pilots Point to Deep River June 29th, 2026 The plan was leaving at 5:30 and I go to work for 7:30.  Well it's foggy.  I offer my boss to take an Uber he says not necessary, take your time and be safe.   We're up since 4 at 4:44 and we don't expect clear view before 10 so we walk Immer and admire the beautiful Pilots Point Marina.  We walk to Edd's place for a delicious breakfast sandwich.  With a view We leave our slip at 10:10 I cannot help to take a picture of that osprey. I bet that the owner of this house don't like Canadian.... geese šŸ˜†  Another good ride. At 10:28 we star to view the Connecticut River lighthouse.  She's dressed up for the 4th of July, the 250th anniversary. We return from the sea, makes us wonder why we return from the sea šŸŽ¶ šŸŽµ  Let's go to work

  FIRST TRIP OF 2026 From Deep River to Pilot Point We leave Deep River at 8:08. New train bridge construction.  Graaand Boooat Graaand Booat bring us to Pilot Point" šŸŽ¶ šŸŽµ šŸ˜†. "Graaand Boooat Graaand Booat bring us to Pilot Point" šŸŽ¶ šŸŽµ šŸ˜†  We enter the Pilot Point channel at 9:08. I'm celebrating "la St-Jean Baptiste" and put up my quebecer flag. Kielbasa with corn, potatoes, carrot and string beans cooked in an a foil packet for dinner. We go to Duck Island for the sunset and a regatta race. Scott went  swimming.  He said it was exhilarating...brrr r
