No bones days in Mystic

NO BONES DAYS IN MYSTIC June 14, 2024 My assistant at work got me this book : The story of a pug that sometimes seems to have no bones.  Well that's been our case nowadays.  We took a lot of naps, at the contentment of our puggy. That's a boat that wears the name of my mom. Beautiful trawler.   Scott got friendly with the owner (of course) but not enough to get a tour 😀.  Scott got his bones back Saturday and picked us breakfast downtown Mystic.  That means digby ride and a 20 minutes walk back and forth. Scott gives a hand to our neighbor who was getting gas before taking his date on a boat ride.  He hurts a toe.  I have to walk to the pharmacy to get disinfectant. Thankfully nothing broken. Lesson learned; when your boat shoes get slippery buy another pair right away. It went well with the date, maybe we had a glimpse of a love story.  And Scott's toe is alright ans he can walk. Sunday we take a couple of digby rides.  We notice that Sabino doesn't throw black smok

Tom's visit

TOM'S VISIT June 13, 2024 Scott's dad came for a visit We went for a boat ride.  We saw an osprey plunging and catching a fish but I was not able to take a picture.  This is a beautiful day. Father and son Scott meant to go to the mouth of the river then turn around but it was so calm we went circled around Ram Island. I'm discovering a anchorage area. Scott knew about it but not me. The water is so calm, we would have liked it yesterday as the weather person said so.  Oh! Well we'll take it today. Back at the marina the train bridge is open so we continue to town. That's dock D. Tom sees the bridge that he sees on the news every night. Tom takes a nap on the boat and we go to town by dinghy and walked to the liquor store for beers and Grand Marnier.

From sunrise in Watch Hill to sunset in Mystic

FROM SUNRISE IN WATCH HILL TO SUNSET IN MYSTIC Scott is up at 2:45 Me at 4:30 And at 4:38 we are on the move. We think Taylor Swift's beach is a good spot to watch the sunrise. That's her house. That's the real show though. Beautiful, isn't?  I thought the public restrooms were open all night, nope.  So I had to sneak in the Ocean House. Wow! This is the most luxurious lady's room I've ever seen.  The stalls are divided by a slab of marble and the walls dressed in luxurious wallpaper and decorated with beautiful art. The towels are made of thick cotton. There's a grand piano in the lounge,  just wow! I was not comfortable enough in there to take pictures... way out of my league 😆.  Our boat shines bright like a diamond 😀... a little one 😀.  We have another neighbor, another Nordic 32.  We are starting to talk seriously about making our dream come true in 9 years. Another example how distance is deceiving on the water.  This boat seems too close. But it&

GOOD MOR ING FROM THE CHILLY LITTLE NARRANGANSETT BAY June 11, 2024 😆 I look like an allien 😆.  The plan was to get up at 4:30 and walk the beach to see the sunrise.  Well we were way too comfy. We sleep in and go at 6:30 😀... that's sleeping in when you live with a hungry puggy. Never seen that dinghy beach so empty.  We're not the first ones walking Watch Hill beach. We catch up with the foot prints 😀 and meet another nice guy.  Scott asks to take a family picture.  Evan takes the time to change the angle a couple of times. We are at the tip of Napatree.  He tries to get Immer's attention by making noise with his mouth. Scott : "Say string bean" He looks at Scott.  Evan:"String bean". Here we go This is Watch Hill passage in the background.    Then Evan borrows Immer for a photo shoot, he's such a star 😆. Back on the boat, we are enjoying the egg muffins. Me with lettuce from my garden and Scott wrapped in a tortilla. Aaahhh! Life is good, i
